No matter what brings you into the dental clinic, Dr. Tate has a passion for helping you achieve your goals. Whether it’s a routine checkup and cleaning or more extensive dental treatment, Dr. Tate will be with you every step of the way. He takes time to discuss your options, ensuring you understand each treatment and, most importantly, feel comfortable. Dr. Tate knows the dentist’s office can be a scary place. That is why it is his goal to provide high-quality, compassionate care, and he believes knowledge is power. When you understand what’s happening and feel well cared for, the dentist’s office isn’t such a bad place.

Dr. Tate genuinely enjoys being a dentist and seeing the positive impact his work has on his patients’ lives. He has helped patients who were self-conscious about their smiles gain confidence and smile freely, telling him they’ve never been happier. He’s also helped patients with missing teeth who struggled to chew properly for years finally enjoy their favorite foods again. Dr. Tate finds dentistry endlessly rewarding, with interests in implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, root canals, and nearly everything in between. Being able to improve people’s quality of life every day is truly a blessing to him.

Outside the dental office, Dr. Tate has served on the board of the Zumbro Valley Dental Society, volunteers at the Salvation Army’s Good Samaritan Dental Clinic, and is active with his church.

Born and raised in Rochester, Dr. Tate has deep roots in the community. He loves serving the people of Rochester and surrounding areas. He graduated from Century High School, went on to earn his degree in Biology from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, and completed his dental education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

Dr. Tate met his wife, Carissa, when they were just kids in middle school, and they now have two wonderful daughters, Emberly and Ivy. They also have a small poodle/bichon mix dog named Reagan. Together, they enjoy going for walks, hiking and exploring state and national parks, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Tate is also an avid Minnesota sports fan who would love to chat about the Vikings with you anytime.
